Alphabetically Listed Below

Bogner Uberschall

Bogner makes great amps and the pedal are great too. So many distortion pedals are fizzy or too muddy or just plain off. The Bogner Uberschall is a great distortion with a great EQ and a built in boost. How does it stack up to the others?

Friedman Motor City

They claim this is an overdrive pedal but as with many dirt pedals there is some crossover here. To our ears it is more of a distortion pedal and it is fantastic. The tube certainly helps but it’s just a great sounding pedal.  Works great with the Strymon power bricks.

Maxon D&S

Again we’ve got some cross-over here in the world of dirt pedals. Many people will tell you that this is a fuzz pedal. We won’t argue, it’s based on an EHX Muff but this is far more refined and just better sounding all of the way around. Moving the Distortion and Sustain knobs just gives you a ton of tonal options. It’s small & almost always overlooked. Maxon never gets the respect they deserve.

Walrus Iron Horse

You can pretty much write in on the wall, if its made by Walrus Audio it’s going to sound huge. This isn’t your typical small box distortion. Lots of range with the knobs but the 3 way compression switch is what really makes is great. Unlimited tones in a tiny box.
